For New Construction Projects, How Can the Reliability and Quality of Waterproofing Be Improved?

Based on years of experience in engineering consulting both domestically and internationally, reliable waterproofing must adopt the redundant concept of extreme precautions. The following recommendations are provided:

Underground Spaces:
a. Base Plate: Redundant RD-3 waterproofing membrane + P30 concrete raft foundation + integrated P30 internal waterproofing and leveling floor layer
b. Side Walls: P30 concrete side walls + (optional redundant MD waterproofing paint) + waterproof and reinforced fluidized soil backfill
c. Roof Plate: P30 concrete structural plate + redundant MD waterproofing paint + soil protective layer

Above-ground Side Walls: P30 polymer mortar
Kitchens and Bathrooms: MD redundant waterproofing paint
Roof: P30 concrete structural plate + redundant waterproofing paint + waterproofing membrane above the insulation layer

There are also some details that need to be taken seriously during construction.
For expansion and settlement joints: Use redundant special non-leaking waterstops + externally applied special adhesive tape.
