On July 1, 2026, the Development and Reform Commission of Zhongwei City, the Energy Transition and Social Development Research Center of Tsinghua University's School of Social Sciences, and the Institute of Ecological Protection and Restoration of the Chinese Academy of Forestry jointly held an event in Zhongwei, Ningxia, focusing on the training on new energy ecological restoration and a report on photovoltaic desert control. Local government leaders, representatives of party building work, experts in the energy sector, representatives of photovoltaic enterprises, advanced representatives in desert control work, and media representatives attended the meeting.
During the meeting, Yang Wenbin, the chief expert of sand control and prevention at the Chinese Academy of Forestry Sciences and the vice president and secretary-general of the China Desert Control and Sand Industry Association, gave a brief introduction to the new technologies in sand control and prevention and the sand industry in recent years.

Zhang Huaxin, a researcher at the Institute of Ecological Protection and Restoration of the Chinese Academy of Forestry, presented a report on the formulation of technical standards for the ecological protection and restoration of photovoltaic power stations throughout their life cycle and the key points.
He Quanjiang, the deputy director of the Energy Transition and Social Development Research Center of Tsinghua University's School of Social Sciences, delivered a report on the work spirit of the national on-site meeting on sand control and prevention held on June 9th.

Liu Lichao, a researcher at the Northwest Institute of Eco-Environment and Resources of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, gave a report on the ecological effects and ecological restoration of photovoltaic power stations.
Wang Fuzhou, the chief engineer of Zheng Sai, presented a report on new technologies for soil and water conservation and soil improvement in desert areas.
