The Green Pact Across the Sahara: Zhensai and Côte d'Ivoire Jointly Build Africa's Ecological Future

When the last lamp of the 16th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD COP16) was extinguished in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, a new agreement on global ecological protection had quietly sown the seeds. In December 2024, at this international event that determines the ecological trajectory of the Earth's future, the first handshake between Zheng Sai Group and KOUADIO KONAN ARISTIDE from Côte d'Ivoire was destined to trigger a green revolution on the African continent. Eight months later, this African guest, carrying a strong desire for ecology, set foot on Chinese soil and, through a half-month in-depth investigation, transformed the blueprint on paper into a strategic cooperation spanning thousands of miles.

On August 2nd, KOUADIO KONAN ARISTIDE set off from Côte d'Ivoire and headed to Zheng Sai for a half-month-long investigation. After arriving in China, his first stop coincided with the holding of the International Forum on Geospatial Ecological Restoration in Zheng Sai. He was invited to participate in the forum and delivered an important speech. During the event, he mentioned that the relevant technologies of Zheng Sai could effectively solve the ecological governance and food security issues in Côte d'Ivoire and even in Africa. During the investigation period, he visited the Gengli Desert Management Base and the Ulabu and Desert Project sites of Zheng Sai. The current achievements left him deeply impressed.

After the forum concluded, KOUADIO KONAN ARISTIDE accompanied by Zheng Sai's team went to the headquarters of Zheng Sai Group. The group's chairman, Wang Fuzhou, personally received them throughout the process. Chairman Wang Fuzhou elaborately introduced the core content and actual application deployment of Zheng Sai's geospatial ecological restoration technology system. He also provided a real-time connection to the project sites in the Taklamakan Desert and other places, enabling him to have a more comprehensive understanding of Zheng Sai's technical strength and project achievements.

Subsequently, KOUADIO KONAN ARISTIDE visited the Zheng Sai Technology Exhibition Hall, the Sky Garden and Roof Farm, the Zheng Sai Zero-Waste City Park, and the Zheng Sai Geospatial Ecological Restoration Industrial Park. The facilities within this park, such as the rock and soil roads, the breathing ecological water tanks, and the underground grain storage with radiation protection functions, all demonstrated Zheng Sai's innovative achievements in ecological restoration. In order to better promote the relevant technologies in Côte d'Ivoire and solve local ecological restoration problems, KOUADIO KONAN ARISTIDE specially reserved time to record promotional videos at each demonstration base, preparing for the wide-scale promotion of the cooperation projects after returning to his home country.

During the inspection, KOUADIO KONAN ARISTIDE, on behalf of the CEA Group in Côte d'Ivoire, officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Zheng Sai. The CEA Group has set a development goal for 2035: to build an African sustainable development ecosystem. Zheng Sai's technical system can significantly contribute to the sustainable development of the African ecosystem. It is worth noting that even before Zheng Sai and KOUADIO KONAN ARISTIDE reached a preliminary cooperation agreement in 2024, he had already started promoting the cooperation between Zheng Sai and the CEA Group in Côte d'Ivoire. This visit also specially brought a joint T-shirt with the logo "Zheng Sai & CEA", further deepening the cooperation between the two parties.

The 2035 goal of the CEA Group is to build an African sustainable development ecosystem, and Zheng Sai is our "most powerful partner" in achieving this goal." At the signing ceremony, KOUADIO KONAN ARISTIDE's words were full of confidence. From the initial encounter at COP16 to the in-depth investigation in the summer, from technical recognition to signing the cooperation agreement, Zheng Sai's story with the CEA Group has already gone beyond the normal business exchanges between enterprises - this is a "green agreement" spanning mountains and seas, a practice of Chinese ecological technology going to Africa, and a vivid illustration of China and Africa joining hands to protect the Earth's home.

On August 13th, when KOUADIO set off on his return journey with a heart full of achievements, his suitcase was not only filled with technical materials and cooperation agreements, but also carried the green hope of a country. The ecological technology of Zheng Sai Group, like dandelion seeds, will spread across the African continent with the wind. This green agreement spanning thousands of miles is not only a strategic cooperation between enterprises, but also a vivid practice of ecological governance under the framework of China-Africa cooperation.
