Zhengsai Shield's Desert Control Technology Validated: Crops Survive Over Five Months in Severely Saline-Alkaline Land in Southern Xinjiang

In Hotan, southern Xinjiang, where annual rainfall is 30 mm and evaporation reaches 3,000 mm, Zhengsai Shield's collaborative project for brackish water and severely 

saline-alkaline land remediation in the Taklimakan Desert has enabled various crops to grow in heavily salinized soil after 114 days of intensive implementation.

From September 20, 2025, when all staff withdrew from the site, to now on February 4, 2026—nearly five months later—the plants are still alive. Practice (time) has proven 

that Zhengsai’s ecologically sustainable desertification control technology is genuine and reliable. This technology permanently addresses the water supply issue for plant

 growth in arid regions and holds significant potential for global promotion in the fields of desertification prevention and saline-alkaline land remediation.
