RD-7 is a water-based chemical product primarily composed of potassium silicate, sodium methylsilicate, tartaric acid, and other ingredients. It provides moisture and temperature protection for large-area concrete surfaces, preventing a series of issues caused by these factors, such as thermal cracks, frost damage, chloride ion penetration, and alkali-aggregate reaction.
RD-7 keeps concrete dry, eliminating most of the moisture and related problems it causes. It offers a dual protective mechanism for concrete in all-weather conditions through two functions: crystallization and hydrophobicity. In the presence of moisture, the crystals expand to completely block capillary pores, while another type of crystal absorbs excess moisture on the surface of the first crystal, preventing its diffusion. These properties provide double protection against moisture for concrete.
